That is the only cookie Tallybuy sets itself. The Google Analytics script sets two more, but only if you accepted analytics (see below). After you follow a merchant link, the partner network sets its own cookie on its own domain (see below). Nothing is stored in your browser's local storage or session storage, and we load no advertising or social media scripts.

Your choice

While analytics is switched on, a dialog on your first visit asks you to choose before you use the pages. It asks about one purpose: analytics with Google Analytics. Accept all and Reject all sit side by side and look the same. The legal notice, the privacy notice and this page can be read without choosing. If analytics is switched off, there is no dialog and no choice to make. The site works fully either way: every offer stays listed and you can follow its link. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the panel below or with the Analytics settings link in the footer of every page.

Merchant links (every visitor)

Links to merchants are affiliate links for every visitor, and nobody is asked about them. When you follow one, the link goes through the affiliate network Awin before it reaches the merchant. Awin then sets its own cookie on its own domain, and the merchant may store identifiers on its site, so that a purchase can be matched to Tallybuy and a commission paid. This happens on their websites, under their own notices; Tallybuy sets no tracking cookie and does not receive this data about you. Awin's cookie names and lifetimes are Awin's to state; see its notice. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in being paid for referrals, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Merchant links are marked as sponsored. If you refused link tracking earlier, when we still asked, your links go straight to the merchant until that answer expires (six months after it was last written).

If you accept analytics

The pages then load the Google Analytics 4 script from www.googletagmanager.com and send usage data to Google Ireland Limited (details and legal basis in the privacy notice). The script sets these cookies on tallybuy.com:

If you withdraw, the script stops loading from the next page and these two cookies are deleted.

Tallybuy's own counting of product page views and followed shop links also runs only if you accept (see the privacy notice). It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device, and it stops as soon as you withdraw.

If you decline analytics or have not chosen

Nothing is sent to Google and no Google cookie is set. Merchant links are not affected by this choice (see above).

Your choice about analytics

You can change or withdraw it at any time. Both answers are equally easy, and every offer stays listed and usable either way.

  • Analytics with Google Analytics

    Counts visits and page views so Tallybuy can see what is used. If you allow it, Google Ireland Limited sets cookies on your device and receives your usage data, which can be processed in the USA. If you decline, nothing is sent to Google. With your consent Tallybuy also counts for itself how often a product page is opened and a shop link is followed: plain totals per product, without cookies and without anything that identifies you.
