The InLine® QSFP28-100G-SR4 module provides reliable 100 Gigabit Ethernet connections via multimode fibre. With an aggregate data rate of 100 Gb/s (4x25.78 Gb/s), it is ideal for high-performance applications in data centres, enterprise core networks and high-performance server environments. Transmission is via an 850 nm VCSEL array with PIN receiver structure. Thanks to parallel 4-channel technology, a range of up to 100 metres on OM4 and 70 metres on OM3 fibres is achieved. Connection is via an MPO-12 interface. With a power consumption of less than 2.5 W, the module remains energy-efficient despite its high bandwidth. Power is supplied via 3.3 V. The operating temperature range of 0 °C to +70 °C makes the module suitable for typical data centre environments. Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) enables continuous monitoring of important operating parameters such as temperature (±3 °C), supply voltage (±3 %) and TX and RX power. This allows network conditions to be detected at an early stage and maintenance measures to be planned in a targeted manner.
