USB to 5 V TTL Converter with FTDI FT232RNL and 4-pin UART screw terminal
Reliable USB-UART communication:The FTDI FT232RNL chipset enables a stable connection between the USB interface and devices with a TTL/UART interface via a virtual COM port.
Simple and secure wiring:The 4-pin screw terminal block with GND, TXD, RXD and +5 V enables quick connection without the need for additional connectors.
Integrated protection functions:PTC fuses, ESD protection and protective diodes on the data lines contribute to safe operation and protect the connected hardware.
Flexible applications:Supports baud rates from 300 b/s to 3 Mbit/s and is suitable for configuration, diagnostics, development and serial communication with 5 V TTL/UART devices.
Direct power supply:The USB-powered +5 V output can directly supply connected devices with low current consumption, reducing the need for an additional power source.
The InLine® USB to TTL 5 V Converter connects computers with a USB-A interface to devices that use a serial TTL/UART interface with fixed 5 V logic levels. Communication takes place via a virtual COM port and is suitable for configuration, diagnostics and service tasks, as well as for development and test environments.
The integrated FTDI FT232RNL chipset ensures reliable data transmission. GND, TXD, RXD and +5 V are conveniently connected via the 4-pin screw terminal. This allows the Converter to be quickly integrated into existing systems.
To protect the connected hardware, the Converter features a 200 mA PTC fuse on the USB port, a resettable PTC fuse for the +5 V output, as well as ESD protection and protective diodes on the data lines. Status indicators for operation, transmission and reception facilitate commissioning and monitoring of data communication.
The +5 V output, supplied directly from the USB power supply, is suitable for powering connected microcontrollers or other peripherals with low current consumption.
