The InLine® USB 2.0 to 2x Serial adapter cable extends systems with two additional RS232 serial interfaces via a USB port. This allows existing serial devices to continue to be used reliably with modern computers or laptops, even if no integrated COM ports are available. The integrated FTDI FT2232 chipset supports stable data communication with compatible devices and enables the simultaneous operation of two independent serial connections. The adapter cable is suitable for configuration, diagnostic or communication applications with serial end devices. With support for Windows from 2000 onwards, Linux and Mac from OS X, the adapter cable can be flexibly integrated into various system environments. The data transfer rate of up to approx. 1 Mb/s supports reliable communication with compatible RS232 devices. Installation is via USB 2.0. To set up the device, first install the software and then connect the device to the USB port.
