The adapter connects an optical drive with a Slimline SATA 13-pin connector (7+6) directly to a standard SATA 22-pin port (7+15). Data and power contacts are mapped accordingly, so that 5 V devices can be reliably operated and integrated without modifying the system. This simplifies on-site installations, speeds up service operations, and supports the continued use of existing infrastructures in companies and public institutions as well as in professional IT environments.
