The internal adapter connects a USB 3.0 19-pin motherboard plug to a USB 2.0 10-pin header (2x5). This allows you to integrate internal USB 2.0 devices easily, even if only a free USB 3.0 header is available on the motherboard. It proves itself in professional IT environments, in on-site installations and in service deployments when internal USB 2.0 ports are implemented using existing resources. In existing infrastructures of companies and public institutions, a free USB 3.0 header can thus be used specifically for USB 2.0.
